Is Split free?
Yes. Split is free, has no ads, needs no app and no sign-up.
How does settling up with UPI work?
Split works out the fewest payments needed to clear all debts. If the person being paid has added their UPI ID, you get a Pay button that opens your UPI app with the amount filled in, or a QR code to scan. Split never touches the money; payments go directly between you.
Does everyone need an account?
No. Create a group, share its link, and everyone with the link can add expenses. Changes appear live for everyone.
Can I split unequally?
Yes: equally among chosen people, by exact amounts, or by shares.
Is my data private?
A group can only be opened with its private link. Groups are never listed or indexed and are deleted after 180 days without activity.
